It is an initiative by a registered non-profit organisation called “Let’s Live Together (LLT)”, India’s first foster based rescue program for orphaned puppies in Bangalore. They work with the community without a shelter and so far, 4000 lives have been impacted with their perseverance and hard work. She collected 12 boxes of dog accessories, foods, toys and medical items and donated to LLT.
Kerala Folklore Academy, an independent centre for cultural affairs, was established on 28 June 1995 in Kannur, Kerala. The main objective of the Academy is to promote and protect the traditional art forms of Kerala. The institution provides financial assistance of folk artists and artisans. Economic aid programs and academic councils are conducted to promote the traditional Kerala art forms.
As part of Nidhi’s artisan project, she conducted a research on decline in the growth of handicraft industries like Pottery, Metal work & Weaving in Kerala. The research culminated in a research paper and a book inspired by her findings which emphasis the need of citizens to support and preserve this industry. The proceeds from her book will be donated to artisans and she setup a fund of 1.5 lakhs in collaboration with this academy.
